Washington County Economic Summit

Durham Jones & Pinegar is a long-time sponsor of the Washington County Economic Development Council's annual Economic Summit, the "premier business planning event of southern Utah," now in its thirteenth year. DJP attorneys are regular presenters at the conference, again participating in the 2010 Washington County Economic Summit on January 13, 2010, at the Dixie Center in St. George, Utah. This year's keynote speakers included Senator Bob Bennett and Governor Gary Herbert.

St. George attorneys Jeff Starkey, Troy Blanchard, and Mike Leavitt presented in a breakout session titled, "Navigating Legal Potholes in a Recession Economy," in which they discussed the practical and legal approaches to undertaking workouts with lenders and how to avoid some of the negative consequences of bankruptcy, foreclosures, and law suits.
